Kokako Recovery

For information on the upcoming London fundraiser, please click here.

Your donations can make a real difference for kokako. Please give generously if you can!

Donations go directly into kokako conservation (and help lots of other species that live with them too!). We already have the knowledge and skills to save kokako, your donations will help to increase the number of kokako populations we can protect and the speed with which we can achieve results.

Any donations received will be allocated by the Threatened Species Trust according to the priority actions described in the Kokako Recovery Plan. The Threatened Species Trust is administered jointly by the New Zealand Department of Conservation and The Royal New Zealand Forest and Bird Protection Society, whose combined experience helps to guarantee useful conservation outcomes from the wise and equitable distribution of any funds.

In 2005/2006 funds are most likely to be used for:

      -  the transfer of kokako back into parts of their former natural range
      -  securing kokako populations against the threat posed by introduced predatory mammals

Donations can be made online with a credit card, or by cheque sent to the Threatened Species Trust.

Online donations, including all personal and credit card details, are handled by a secure server with 128-bit encryption via banqonit.com. The Threatened Species Trust does not receive any credit card details, but asks that you enter your name and address so that your donation can be acknowledged. The trust will not use your details for any other purpose.
